Q:Do I need a headphone and microphone to access the seminar?
A: No, you can use a telephone instead. You will be given a number to call in the email containing your joining instructions.
Q:What is to stop us from showing the seminar on a projector?
A: Nothing! Several councils do this. You have to ensure that your projector or soundsystem can handle the audio side of things. You would be advised not to use an open phone system because when you speak it may sound like Dalek at the bottom of a swimming pool. But keep it simple and it should work. And don't forget the popcorn.
Q:Can more than one member of my staff join the presentation?
A: As long as your council is paid-up Visionary Network subscriber and the member of staff registered to join the session. We do have limited places so sessions will be subject to fair useage.
Q:I am really teched up, can I access the sessions using a smartphone?
A: Currently there is an iPad app, and in development is Android and iPad apps. Blackberry will come along after that. Check back here for updates on progress
Q:Can I only access the session when I am in the office?
A: You can join the session from anywhere as long as you have access to a PC or Laptop, linked to the internet and a headset or phone. If you are at home you could use your home PC. You could even access in your local library or the nearest Starbucks.
Q:Can I download some instructions on how to use the system?
A: Yes you can download it from here.
At the Seminar
Q:Will I be able to see the speaker?
A: No, you will just see their presentation and hear them speaking. We have the technology to show the speaker but at present we are not doing so.
Q:Where will the speaker be?
A: Most probably in their office. As long as they have access to a PC or laptop and phone or a headset it does not really matter. We have has speakers who have been in Taiwan and Canada. It worked fine.
Q:Will I be able to ask questions of the speaker?
A: You will be able to ask at the end of the session. Each session is live and you can indicate that you want to ask, and the chair will invited you to speak your question.
Q:Will any one be able to see me?
A: Only the people in your office, unless you are working from home, then you can attend the conference in your PJs and no one will be the wiser.

Q:If I have a subscription for Visionary Benefits does it have to be someone from the benefits service who attends?
A: You can use your places as you see fit. As long as it is someone from your organisation.
Q:I am a subscriber for one network can I get a deal on joining another?
A: Oh yes, indeed you can. Check out the price plans for deals.
Q:Can I get hold of the slidepacks?
A: You will be sent a link so that you can download the sessions and the presentations. You will be able to share these with any member of your organisation. However, you should not share beyond your organisation as this is strictly prohibited by copyright law, and you could be prosecuted.
Q:I have the link but I can not play the session file
A: This will because you do not have a media player or your player does not have the WMA drivers
Q:When I try to download the presentation it shows as a compressed library!
A: You need to change the association for the PPSX files. Right-click the file and change the open-with to Powerpoint.
Q:I am a contractor how can I attend?
A: You can sign-up in one of three ways
1) In your own right - the prices are the same.
2) You can check with your agency to find out if they have an arrangement with us.
3) If your employer is a member then you can access with them. However, you will only be able to use your employer email address to register.
